What's 2020 got in store for you?

I'm not a big one for New Year's resolutions - I find that if I set them then I set myself up to break them pretty quickly. In the past I have resolved to be fitter, shinier with a healthier diet, better exercise regime, drink more water, spend less time on the screens......blah, blah, blah! Until I inevitably break by the end of the first week of January and don't think about it again until the following year.

January 1st of this year heralds the start of not only a new year but also a new decade - so no pressure right!?! I've decided to take a new tact.

Something I'm loving at the moment is the idea of theme - or even a word - to sum up the coming year. Feels like less pressure and instead of turning my attention to one thing, I can incorporate several habits/ideas into my year's theme.

Some themes that come to mind:

- Adaptibility

- Energy

- Health (well, of course! I AM a naturopath after all)

- Travel

- Exploration

- Joy

I also love the idea of learning a new skill by the end of the year. This helps lays the path of growth and can lead to meeting new people, making new connections in the brain and trying something you have always wanted to.

It may include learning:

- a song on the piano

- how to say the word monkey in 15 different languages

- how to cook a roast

- how to ride a bike.

The possibilities are endless! And feels much more positive than falling off the no sugar bandwagon on Day 2 and eating ALL the chocolate!

Wishing you all an amazing New Year!
